Generally speaking, the basic specifications of your overhead cranes or gantry cranes has be bear in your heart, which will set a basic requirement on the function of crane motors in terms of start, brake, speed regulation, load, torque, synchronization,etc.

Under normal conditions, when selecting a motor, the model, type, rated speed, rated voltage, and rated power of the crane motor should be taken into consideration. Lifting motors with S2 duty, whose operating system allows for 30 minute and 60 minute performance, should be used for overhead and gantry cranes that are operated continuously for more than 10 minutes. The S4 duty motors are always the best choice for overhead crane and gantry crane hoisting mechanisms.

6. According to the matching YZR power value to calculate, the frequency motor normally does not offer the specifications for S2, S4, and S5 work systems.
